Export notes from diary page

Question

Hi,

 

Hope I'm posting this in the right place.

 

We have a client making a data access request. We were looking at exporting the contents of Message event (MESS) and Event Notes (NO) from the diary page and believe there exist corresponding field names for the ten (or so) lines of the note or message event. However, we haven't yet had any luck finding field names for these. Hope that makes sense, any help appreciated.

Hi Grant - and welcome to the Forum

 

The Diary Events are classed as Event Frames on the system and are defined on Menu 4 (Maintenance Menu) in the Frame Module Maintenance option.

 

There is an option to "print" the Event frame - which should give you the Field names you are looking for 

 

More tricky, is the ability to extract the data once you have the field names, but it can be done in a number of ways, one being via a document / letter, using the back office system or even OpenWord.

    • Hi Pete,   We use Truckwriter, and it has never prompted us, they just run out !. having said that while we don't do bucket loads of CV business on EDI, majority of our providers have set the number range at 999999. Is it by any chance Aviva that needs them doing ?, as last week we had to "TRY" and update and issue some new Aviva policy numbers (first time for years) and we still are trying to sort it !, the Truckwriter POS software was confused, all messed up, Aviva didnt know how top reset using RMA commands.   And agree with Mark, it is not connected with Open Suite, it must just be a coincidence.   Happy days.  
    • Hi Pete   Don't know the specifics for TW products as I'm not a low level user operationally   I'll nudge @Philr as he is a top bloke on these things and hopefully he can clarify   PS - I'd be surprised if this is anything to do with OpenSuite as they're not related
    • Hi Guys   on PC policys  the signons will get warnings about the certs going low  giving me time to ring/email the insurers asking for release numbers  before running out.  But on TW (Truck Writer) OpenGI are saying that no warnings for certs and you will only find out when your out.  I cant remember this happening before we upgraded to 5.82  
    • You should have #96 in Prospect Control so all new prospects are checked when created.   You can also set under #97 to also check when converted.    Also, #98 is where you set how often you want prospects rechecked during batch checks.   We recheck all clients every 30 days.
