  1. Building on the continuing success of the classroom sessions held at the User Group AGMs over the past few years, we are now delighted to announce the launch of our exclusive Member Days for 2012

These days have been set-up specifically to deliver Membership workshops where we can offer focused Training and Consultancy sessions to help maximise use of the technology within your business, at every level.

Subjects to be covered will include use of Microsoft Outlook and Excel as well as a general IT Questions and Answer surgery – all aimed at improving office efficiency and getting the most out of your Open GI software and related applications.

Dates and venues will be confirmed shortly along with more details on the sessions to be held. Meanwhile, if you have any particular subjects you would like to see included or areas of specific interest, then let us have your thoughts by posting your comments here

  2. For those that have experience of the Open GI eCommerce solutions and aggregator integration, leave your feedback here to help other users and maybe even help shape the future eCommerce landscape. If today is a lazy day for you, just leave your vote on the eCommerce Poll above for now and come back when you feel more alive and back up your vote with some real life comments.

If you are looking at what's on offer from Open GI, hopefully you may find something of use here. Feel free to post any questions and our members will hopefully have an answer based on their experiences and knowledge.

  3. Update from Jon Mitchell:

He advises this is a common gripe but Towergate are insistent this is correct under the current FSA regulations.

I'm going to respond to this but before I do can you let me know if this happens on all Towergate products or just certain ones?

The FSA thing isn't the main point for me. Surely they should be doing all they can to support Brokers and making selling their products as easy as possible.

I got some interesting chat on changing documentation on PowerPlace when I was in London the other week but it's not for the public forum.

Awwwwwwww - tease! (not that it affects me directly hehe!)

  4. Mmmmmm - me too re Excel

Possibly a setting buried somewhere - I'll have a look and let you know

Oh - and I've followed my own advice and marked this as a "watched" Forum so I get notifications when something gets posted - I feel a host of questions coming in soon ....

  5. I think it's an ambiguous error message - one that i keep getting 'cus I dont do it right (either!)

Once you have "Browsed" for the file, you have to use the "Attach" button. It should then appear in the window above. Then fill in the details for submission, then hit the "Add Submission" button.

    All should then be OK.

NB - Doesn't like .docx files at the minute angry.gif - but maybe a set-up thing

    Good luck!

  6. Did You Know ----

You can "Watch" a Forum using the "Watch Forum" button (normally at the head of the entry). This will add it to your start screen when you sign in. Do it for the "Start Here" Forum and never miss a new entry! Go on - Do it now!

Topics in a Forum can also be watch individually and allows you to customise your updates.

    I'd score this tip 10/10 - but I would - wouldn't I - what say you?

    Mark
